Flammability tests for automotive applications

Back

Safety standards in the automotive sector are very high. In particular, the fire properties of the materials and components used are tested. The standards of the individual car manufacturers, such as VW (TL 1010), Daimler (DBL 5307) or BMW (GS 97038) refer to the US specifications of FMVSS 302, which have been adopted in DIN 75200. The burning rate is determined under standardized conditions.

OMPG can prepare components for the fire tests as well as produce and test sample plates from supplied granulate for small parts that do not meet the minimum sample size requirements.

Automotive

The requirements for supplier parts in the automotive sector are becoming ever more extensive and differentiated. OMPG offers professional testing services for automotive products in accordance with OEM and manufacturer standards.
