Tested safety and quality for supply chains and end products

The successful sale of products requires compliance with a large number of law and market requirements. In addition, the high consumer expectations in terms of product safety and sustainability have also to be met. When it comes to consumer goods, toys and children's products and their raw materials, safety and quality are particularly important factors in the purchasing decision.

We support you in ensuring that both your supply chain and the products you buy or sell meet the highest standards. To this end, our experts in the field of consumer products are at your disposal with comprehensive advice on the existing requirements, necessary laboratory analyses, evaluation of product and material documentation as well as technical support in product and material development. In this way, we help you to minimize risks, increase efficiency and ensure compliance with contractual or regulatory requirements for your products and materials throughout the entire supply chain.

Materials for toys and children's articles

The OMPG determines the applicable regulations for the respective product and offers laboratory tests, advice and evaluation of the materials used.

We test end products, semi-finished products and raw materials in the fields of plastics, textiles, leather and wood.

These include tests for:

  • Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
  • Phthalates and other plasticizers
  • Heavy metals: lead, cadmium, chromium VI and mercury
  • Azo dyes and disperse dyes
  • Flame retardants
  • Monomers and solvents
  • Volatile organic compounds (VOC)
  • Formaldehyde
  • Alkylphenols and alkylphenoxylates
  • Organotin compounds
