Emission testing

Back

The influence of different materials on the immediate environment is being increasingly monitored. Depending on the area of application and type of material, a wide variety of tests and analyses are used to rule out negative influences.

We offer:

  • Odor testing (PV 3900, VDA 270 and others)
  • Organic emissions (VDA 278, PV 3341, VDA 277 and others)
  • Fogging test (DIN 75201, PV 3015 and others)
  • Formaldehyde emission (PV 3925, VDA 275 and others)

We carry out emission tests in accordance with national and international standards as well as the specifications of car manufacturers such as VW, Audi, Skoda, Daimler, BMW, Opel, Volvo, Ford and Renault.

VOC analytics

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) describes a large number of individual substances that are emitted by materials and products.

Examples of materials and products:

  • Plastics
  • textiles
  • adhesives
  • Paints and varnishes
  • Coatings
  • toys
  • General consumer products

Depending on their volatility, these evaporate even at low temperatures and can be detected, identified and quantified using various analysis methods and techniques. In each case, we offer you an interpretation and evaluation of the results with regard to the causes and possible effects. Thanks to our many years of experience in the field of plastics processing, we can also provide you with advice on how to minimize or prevent unwanted emissions.

VW-Gruppe

For the VW Group, VW 50180 defines the necessary emission tests depending on the material, which now also includes the old Audi standard VW 50179.

The odor test (PV 3900 / VDA 270), organic emissions (PV 3341 / VDA 277) and the fogging test (DIN 75201) are most frequently required. For special plastics, such as POM, the formaldehyde emission (PV 3925 / VDA 275) must also be verified.

We have access to the VolkswagenGroupSupply platform and are listed in the Audi list of emissions testing laboratories.

Mercedes Benz

For Mercedes Benz we are listed in the supplier approval according to DBL 1000 for odor VDA 270 and VOC and fog according to VDA 278.
